HOYA MultiView EX(α)

The kind of contact lenses you always wanted, and great news for eyes that are busy every day.
Unique contact lenses that bring clarity to both near and far objects.
Watching the PC, viewing the mobile phone, reading a magazine or deciphering a recipe ... We keep our eyes extremely busy every day. HOYA MultiView lenses are progressive power contact lenses designed for busy people. Ideal for people who often view close objects for long periods of time in the office, at home or elsewhere, HOYA MultiView lenses employ a lens design that offers a comfortable sensation during use despite being hard contact lenses.
When our eyes view something close, the crystalline lenses of the eyes swell in thickness (a process known as accommodation) to focus on the near object.
When we look at a near object for an extended period, the eyes remain in a continuously strained state. MultiView lenses are an excellent option for people who often view near objects to try out.
Hoya designs comfortable lenses based on new ideas tailored to the demands of the times.
HOYA MultiView EX (α) is a progressive power-type hard contact lens that improves vision not only at far and intermediate distances but for near objects as well.
Features
- Also view near objects with comfort
-
Thanks to the progressive power design, the lenses make it easier to see objects not only at far and intermediate distances but close up as well. This makes the lenses ideal for those who view objects at a close distance for extended periods, such as when using a PC, reading mobile phone messages, reading a book or pursuing other interests.
- A mild sensation of use for hard contact lenses
-
The lens periphery has been thinly and precisely fabricated according to a special design, resulting in minimal irritation of the eyelids and an improved sensation of use compared with conventional hard contact lenses. Moreover, as the size (diameter) of the lenses has been slightly increased, they exhibit excellent stability and movement is also less severe. We recommend these lenses for those who are not quite happy with the sensation of use from their conventional hard contacts, as well as those using hard contacts for the first time.
- Excellent oxygen supplementation
-
Thanks to the high oxygen permeability and excellent lacrimal fluid exchange, the lenses can be worn for long periods.
Usage times will vary between individuals. Also note that while the lenses have been approved for continuous usage up to one week, the consent of an ophthalmologist is required before beginning continuous use.
*Unlike during the day, progressive power contact lenses may make it difficult to view distant objects at night or in dark places due to enlargement of the pupils.
Hoya’s unique progressive power lens design that combines spherical and aspherical surfaces broadens the natural field of vision.

The above diagram is a conceptual illustration. There are in fact no colors or boundary lines, and refractive power changes smoothly.
